Description
World War II Battle of the Bulge Photograph Signed by 27 Survivors of the 99th Infantry Division. Black and white satin-finish, 8" x 10, no place; no date. Boldly signed in blue felt-tip pen by all 27 men: Phil Benefiel, Robert Bossler, Robert Boyt, Glenn Bronson, Harry Clifton, Stan Colby, James Duncan, Hal Etter, Robert Gair, Larry Gribble, Joe Kagan, Vince Meribela, Harry McCracken, Al Nelson, Tim Nugent, Edward Phero, Byron Reburn, Herm Saunders, John Shell, James Lee Sines, Raymond Stewart, Dick Switzer, Joe Thimm, John Vasa, Ralph Waits, John Wearly, and Richard Weaver. With a PSA/DNA certificate for all 27 signatures, with each man identified on the COA. The Battle of the Bulge was a surprise attack by the Germans that left nearly 100,000 Allied killed wounded or captured, but which depleted the German forces and ultimately resulted in an Allied win near the close of the war. After the battle Winston Churchill proclaimed, "This is undoubtedly the greatest American battle of the war and will, I believe, be regarded as an ever-famous American victory."
