Andrew Jackson Autograph Note Signed "A. J ."[with] Martin Van Buren Autograph Note Signed "MVB. " One sheet, 5" x 8.25", February 1, 1830. Notes by President Jackson and Secretary of State Van Buren on each side of document. Notes refer to a court case examined by Jackson. Jackson's signed note states "Papers on the case of Rowland Marshall of Michigan sent by the Sec. of State this 1 st February 18309 for examination.... Mr. Sheldons affidavit." Van Buren's note reads "Mr N. Trist will please to examine into the truth of the facts put forward by Sheldon & if they appear to be correctly stated...[and] ...to give Mr. Rowland notice of them." Condition: Document has vertical fold, some creasing around edges, plus toning; otherwise good.
