good condition overall; the mirror plates are probably later 19th century replacements, although they have nice signs of age and present well; retains what appears to be original gilding, with some scattered touch-ups to losses; at least one fret piece is a replacement, but the majority appears to be the original; repaired break to central veneered section to top, where eagle rests on; occasional age splits to veneer commensurate with age; backboard appears to have been reattached; new hanging mechanisms installed to reverse; eagle cartouch is presently detached, but screws on the back
