SC Justice Arthur J. Goldberg Typed Letter Signed and Signed Invite
Letter is 1p measuring 8" x 10.5" Washington, D.C., dated February 21, 1961. Signed "Arthur J. Goldberg" and addressed to Emil K. Ellis, who was on the Board of Directors of Four Freedoms Foundation Inc. Goldberg replies to an invite to an event honoring Mr. Meany, stating that he will make every effort to attend.
Accompanied by an Invitation Card, 3pp of a bifolium measuring 7" x 4.75", New York, with the event dated January 19, 1964. Signed by Goldberg on the front, "Best wishes, Arthur J. Goldberg." The event was a 120th Anniversary Observance of B'Nai B'Rith, with a special honoring ceremony for Goldberg. The letter has flattened mail folds and two holes punches at the top edge. Boldly signed. The invite has slightly bumped corners and is lightly soiled.
