**First Time At Auction**

Patty Maho (Hopi, b. 1904, active 1930 to 1979), Tewa Village, Arizona, 1960s. A beautiful black on red pottery bowl by Hopi potter Patty Maho of Tewa Village (Hano), First Mesa, on the Hopi reservation in Polacca, Arizona. The interior walls of the bowl are finely painted with the head of a katsina dancer wearing an elaborate headdress and jewelry. Maho's pottery has been collected by the Museum of Northern Arizona and she is cited in Hopi-Tewa Pottery by Gregory Schaff. This bowl is signed on the bottom - "Patty Maho / Tewa Village / Polacca Ariz". Size: 7.85" W x 2" H (19.9 cm x 5.1 cm)
