Note: Reference: Seidel, Brigette, "The Early Byzantine Lamp from Pong Tuk," Journal of the Siam Society, Vol. 96, 2008.
Condition
The ewer has apparent cultivated greenish blue patina throughout with surface chips and losses to finish. The patina and wear on the lamp is of a different wear. There is a greenish and white colored patina throughout, one bead on palm is now lacking, some damage and losses near wick mouth opening, surface scratches, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
