Description
15.75" x 11" (Framed 22.5" x 18"), c. 1830-1840 This "stone watercolor" painting shows Hindu god Krishna (c.3228 BCE) with his love Radha frolicking with some handmaids on a swing in a garden by a river, Krishna is embracing his love, Radha. This painting vibrant stone watercolors are amazing. The gold paint accents bring the scene to life with a rich, vibrant look and feel. The original text is Sanskrit, and would prove an interesting translation. This painting is one in a series of 100+ scenes from the original collection of the Maharaja Udaipur. The condition of this painting is excellent and it is presented in a high end, custom frame. The watercolor and gold paint is still vibrant and intact with no fading or damage apparent, minimal fraying on edges of paper. The entire painting showcased in the beautiful frame.
