"Wagon and Team", watercolor on paper, unsigned, but with Estate Stamp verso, label from Chapellier Galleries of NYC, Sotheby's sale sticker and hang tag indicating this came from the Auchincloss collection. (Probably Lily Auchincloss, a NYC philanthropist and major supporter of the Museum of Modern Art, the American Academy in Rome and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, who passed in 1996). Housed in a fine water-gilt frame with tag, under red velvet mat, glass. OS: 17 1/4" x 23 3/4", SS: 12 1/2" x 17 1/4". Good condition. Provenance: From an Islesboro, ME estate.
