1956//1962 Mercury Program Official NASA Timelogs An incredible collection of three time-books used by the assistant supervisor and official time keeper for work performed from the earliest days on the pad. The entries in the time logs are all hand written, and were used to calculate the official pay records for the pad staff. They list the employees (by name only, no other personal information is included) and the hours worked - straight time, overtime, sick leave, and holidays. An exeptionally rare and unique find. The covers on the books are heavy duty cardboard, and the first few pages comprise a table of wages by the hour. It is an interesting chart to read today - the wages in the chart range from $0.75/hour to $2.25/hour. (The minimun wage in 1956 was $1.00). An extremely rare and wonderful set of records from the earliest days of the U.S. space program.
