Pastel on fine greyish-brown wove paper, Waterloo Bridge, signed* (Claude Monet, 1840-1926). Dated 1902. 7 7/8 x 11 1/4 inches. Good condition overall, having no apparent damage or repairs. Has been unframed for inspection and shipping. Sold without frame.

Provenance: Ex-collection William and Pauline Ruser, Beverly Hills, CA. Acquired together with other drawings and paintings by the former owner's family from the latter, sometime before 1970. The former owner's family were personal friends and clients of William Ruser, a celebrated Beverly Hills jeweler. Now the property of Preston Hall Gallery.

Lot Note: This drawing may be a variation of several other similar but larger pastels of Waterloo Bridge done by Monet when he was in London.
