A Faience Egyptian Amulet of a Canopic Jar of Imsety Late Dynastic Period. 664-332 BCE. Size 28 mm. A blue faience amulet of a canopic jar of Imsety, one of the sons of Horus. The head is adorned with a crown of Upper Egypt, (one of his domains being the cardinal direction of South). It sits on a simple jar like container. Pierced in back of head for suspension. Provenance: with Medusa Ancient Art, Montreal. c. 2013.
