Description
Three framed, mounted, and signed official 19th Century documents from the United Mexican States (Mexico), each signed by an historic Mexican President. Written in Spanish, partially printed, partially handwritten, each document has signature. The left facing document, dated 1846, bears signature to lower right of Jose Mariano de Salas (1797–1867), twice Interim President of Mexico (1846, 1859). The central document, dated 1847, bears signature to lower right of Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna (1794–1876), who served 12 non-consecutive presidential terms over a period of 22 years and was a central figure in the Texas War of Independence and the Battle of the Alamo. The right facing document, dated 1870, bears signature to lower left of Benito Pablo Juarez (1806–1872), President of Mexico from 1858-1872, with affixed official seal stamp. Presented in a decorative matte and frame. Good to fair condition with age related wear to frame. Measures 16 1/2 in. x 10 1/2 in. (sight, each), 22 1/4 in. x 29 3/4 in. (framed).
