Haviland & Cie, monumental Art Nouveau jardiniere, c. 1876, Limoges, France, polychrome glazed pottery, zinc liner, gilt bronze mounts, in the Japanese Aesthetic taste, the three-handled vessel decorated in the round with impressionistic flowers on a cobalt blue ground, resting in an elaborate thickly gilt cast bronze stand decorated with fretwork, flowering prunus trees, bats, and three kneeling figures stationed as feet, the pottery hand-thrown at L'Atelier d'Auteuil, and decorated by Jules Habert-Dys, artist initialed in decoration, stamped "Haviland & Co, Limoge/76/1" to underside (under mounts), 22"h x 25"dia
