Description
A lot of Egyptian amulets and an inlay. A nice mixed group containing a pair of Eye of Horus amulets, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, the smaller in blue frit with nice details, 24 x 20 mm & 15 x 13.5 mm. The next piece is an amulet in the form of a shrine, Late Period - Ptolemaic, c. 664 - 30 BC, with good detail and missing suspension loop on top, H: 21.5 mm, and last is a pair of faience amulets from Roman Egypt, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, one in the form of male genitalia and the other a bunch of grapes, L: 18 mm & 20 mm. Also included is a faience inlay for an eye, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, colored black and would have made up the eye-painted around the eye which would have been set into the middle for use in a stature or similar, L: 1 1/3 in (34mm). Ex Orange County private collection.
