Item Details

Description

A large Toby pitcher that bears the text "Home Brewed Ale", a figure of a seated man holding pistols and with a sabre at his feet, and a spill vase with two figures, a dog and a toy train set. All mid 19th century.

Dimensions: From 4 1/2" x 3" to 6 1/2" x 3 1/2", the heights range from 9 3/4" to 11 1/4".

Provenance: From a Philadephia collection.

Condition

The toby is in good condition with crazing, the spill vase is crazed and has minor losses to the applied "slaw" foliage, and the seated figure has old repairs to the right hand.
