A QING DYNASTY BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOTTLE VASE, SHIPWRECK ARTIFACT, ATTRIBUTED TO THE KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722), the long cylinder neck with double ring ruyi mushroom collar over arabesque and fan-form reserves painted with garden landscapes over an onion-form belly with circular reserves painted with scenes of court ladies by curled roof houses with attendants, each reserve set among a profusion of auspicious flower blooms, raised on circular foot with double ring. Good condition for shipwreck artifacts of this age, use and material including, but not limited to expected surface buildup and encrustations throughout as well as areas of uneven glaze from marine water exposure. Some surface wear, dulling of glaze, kiln bursts and frit spots, one large brown spot with white enamel painted over-evidence consistent with sea encrustation residue/damage, yellowed areas at foot, interior soiled, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.  Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
