Description
A VINTAGE COCO DE MER FERTILITY NUT, SEYCHELLES, 20TH CENTURY, a seedpod from the Lodoicea palm tree native to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. Height: 12"" Width: 9" Depth: 5 1/2" Note: The coco de mer palm seed is the largest and heaviest in the world. Since it's discovery in 18th century, the seed has been sought after by the wealthy and royalty due to its evocative feminine form and rarity based on the fact that it doesn't float - existing naturally on only two remote islands.
