Item Details

Description

30" backsword blade, 1.187" at ricasso, basket of fine quality pierced with Scottish hearts and engraved with crown surmounting Scottish thistle. Grip bound with three-strand copper wire. Domed Scottish pommel with cut work.

Condition

Blade has been cleaned with wide central fuller. Basket has been cleaned to smooth gray metal. Engraving on thistle and crown remains and is attractive. Grip with old damage. Pommel in fine condition. A great example with Scottish thistle and crown.
