5 volumes plus the Atlas volume of maps and subscriber's names, first edition, Volume II signed 'George Washington', original grey boards and modern linen and leather covered boxes.

Note: Compiled from Washington's copious writings bequeathed to his nephew, Bushrod Washington, Marshall's biography is considered indispensable to any collection of Washington's works and the history of the establishment of independence in the United States.

Condition

All original grey paper covers with wear, losses to the corners and abrasions and soiling. The pages with staining, foxing and creasing. A few small losses and tears. Modern storage boxes all in good condition.
