Description

An estate collection of Hand Wrought Aluminum art and craft metalwork by Vernon Smith, his family members and the Galley West Craft Shop Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans Mass. includes several unsigned serving trays, a church-signed napkin holder, and a very nice selection of original Buttons and Buckles (buckles signed V. Smith). about 25 sets of buttons present plus extras and unfinished pieces. Largest tray measures: 18" x 14" Vernon Bennett Smith was a Cape Cod Massachusetts Artist and WPA Administrator known for his Bas Relief woodcarvings, Oil Paintings, Watercolors, and Batik Fabrics. He also worked in metal and created miniatures. The works in this auction are directly from members of his family.
