This lot consists of an unframed watercolor on paper, done in the Art Nouveau style of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (French, 1864-1901). Image depicts an elegant woman in a sleek, backless gown. Small, circular watercolor insignia can be noted at lower right corner. This piece would be a fine addition to any collection of art. Unframed dimensions approximately 9.75" x 8.25".
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (French, 1864-1901) was a painter, printmaker, and illustrator known for his iconic Art Nouveau poster art. Toulouse-Lautrec was born into great privilege but suffered great physical suffering; like many members of his family, he found solace in the study and creation of art. He was greatly influenced by both Japanese art forms and Impressionism (specifically the work of Edgar Degas).

Condition
Overall fair condition. Light age-related toning has occurred, as well as some rippling and wear to edges of paper. The artwork itself remains bold and brilliant.
