Description
This lot consists of a graphite illustration on paper, done in the sensuous Art Nouveau style of Gustav Klimt (Austrian, 1862-1918). Graphite inscription at lower right reads, "Gustav Klimt Nachlass". Image depicts an otherworldly woman with flowing, dark hair and a mysterious gaze. Unframed measurements approximately 10.5" x 7.25".
Reverse side of piece features a stamp which bears the name and seal of the Graham Gallery.
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his art nouveau paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d'art. Klimt's primary subject was the female body, and his works are marked by a frank eroticism. In addition to his figurative works, which include allegories and portraits, he also painted landscapes. Among the artists of the Vienna Secession, Klimt was most influenced by Japanese art and its elegant methods.

Condition
Overall good condition. No tears or chipping. Some light discoloration and a vertical crease are evident at center of page. The image itself is clear and bold. Please see photos for further reference.
