Charles Frederick (William) Mielatz was active/lived in Rhode Island, New York / Germany. Charles Mielatz is known for etching, teaching.
Charles Frederick William Mielatz, born in Bredden, Germany on May 24, 1864 was a pupil of the Chicago School of Design and Frederic Rondel in New York.
He was a member of the New York Etching Club (Secretary); American National Academy 1906; American Watercolor Society, receiving awards; He served on the jury of the St. Louis Exposition 1904. He also served as an Instructor at the National Academy of Design.
His works extends to some three hundred plates, mostly of architecture and landscape. He was taught etching by J. J. Callahan.
