Description
A Rare Large Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Ding Tripod. Made from a dark grey pottery. The wide body stands on three short feet. On opposite sides are tow moulded taotie ring handles. The outer wall has been cold-painted in red pigment with a design of the typical Han “swirling” geometric pattern. In good “untouched” condition. Diameter 31cm, height 16.5cm. Western Han Dynasty (206 BC – AD 8).
