This is a very large Kwoma Washkuk Ceremonial house carving of a female ancestor, Bangwis village, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. Field collected in 1978 by John C. Edler in Bangwis from the Bangwis Men's house. The sculpture measures 55 inches tall x 13 inches wide.
