Description
(1791) The chronicle of the kings of England, from the reign of William the Conqueror, (first King of England) down to His present Majesty George the Third. Inscribed and owned by Benjamin Draper(1779 - 1850) of Dover Plains, Dutchess County, New York, on 10 August 1779. Publication: Litchfield Connecticut. : Re-printed by Thomas Collier, Edition: The 3rd American ed. By the late Dr. Franklin First published in 1740 London. Attributed to Robert Dodsley in the New Cambridge Bibliography of English literature. Sometimes attributed to Philip Dormer Stanhope. Most editions have the fictitious attribution to Nathan ben Saddi on the title page; Evans notes that this is the only edition attributed to Franklin. It is not known who brought the history forward into George III's reign.
