Description: Bookplate of Marinus Willet Dominick to front pastedown, with clippings pasted in: short prior auction description, a portrait of Countess Beaconsfield, two portraits of Benjamin Disraeli, a critical description of Venetia, Contarini Fleming, and Alroy, and a picture of 19 Curzon Street, Mayfair, the house in which he died. A lovely and quite stunningly bound edition of this romantic fantasy by Benjamin Disraeli, in which he casts Byron and Shelley back into the eighteenth century. Very good.
