**First Time At Auction**
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE; Western Europe, Spain, Nuestra Senora de Atocha shipwreck, ca. September 6, 1622 CE; Belgium, French Army, Battle of Waterloo, ca. June 18, 1815 CE. A gathering of four lead projectiles from across Europe. First is a lead musket shot found at the shipwreck site of the Spanish vessel Nuestra Senora de Atocha. Second are a pair of lead musket balls found at the site of the Battle of Waterloo. The largest projectile is a Roman sling pellet of an ovoid form with tapered ends. Size of largest (Roman sling pellet): 1.75" L x 0.8" W (4.4 cm x 2 cm)
