Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A piece of ancient Roman glass, cut into a hemispherical form, and set into a modern sterling silver pendant with sterling silver chain. The glass has a gorgeous iridescent surface and was once a pale, translucent blue. Length of chain: 17" L (43.2 cm); size of glass: 1" W (2.5 cm); size of pendant: 1.95" W x 1.4" H (5 cm x 3.6 cm)

Provenance: private Dunn collection, Coral Springs, Florida, USA, acquired in the 1990s
