Elvis Presley 1960 "Solid Gold" Cadillac Limousine Roof Swatch in Exhibit Quality Framed Display W/COA - This framed display contains a swatch from the vinyl roof of Elvis Presley's 1960 "Solid Gold" Cadillac Limousine. The vehicle was said to be one of Elvis' favorites, and was referred to as the "Solid Gold" car thanks to 24-karat gold plate highlights and trim. The limo was customized world renowned car customizer George Barris for a reported $65,000, and had features including gold lame drapes, record player with automatic changer, gold plated television and golden amenity case with hairbrush, clipper and razor. The vehicle was donated to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum after Elvis' passing by RCA record producer Felton Jarvis. According to our seller the car underwent restoration approximately 15 years ago, and the original vinyl roof was purchased from the restoration company after it was stripped from the car. The swatch has been professionally matted and framed in an exhibit quality framed display along with a black and white photo of the King with the car. Measurements: 13.5"L x 10"W.
