This is a chromolithographed poster describing thirty edible and poisonous mushrooms by Paul Dumee, who was a member of the French Societe Mycologique et Botanique. Created after drawings by Andre Revillon d'Apreval. Printed by Draeger, Paris.

Little is known about Andre Revillon d'Apreval beyond him being a French botanical illustrator and lithographer. He worked on a number of botanical books published between 1875-1910. One such book was "Histoire physique, naturelle et politique de Madagascar" by botanist Henri Ernest Baillon. D'Apreval must have been held in high regard by Baillon because of the plants in his book were named after the artist.
