Description
A Chinese calligraphy scroll. Depicting four large central characters that read "Pine and cypress are always green," a quote from the Confucian Analects. A gift to "Dear Mr. Hoffman" from the Bejining Academy of Acupuncture and Orthopedics. 1995. Ink on paper. Approximately: 17" x 25 1/2". Overall, Approximately: 21" x 42 1/2".Condition: Few small areas of discoloration to silk boarder. Light creasing.Provenance: Given to Irving Hoffman, Anna Chennault's business partner, by the Bejining Academy of Acupuncture and Orthopedics, May 20, 1995. From the collection of Anna Chennault (Chen Xiangmei).
