KAbolone Divers by Kitagawa Utamaro is a circa 1797 Woodblock, Triptych of a series of Women's Handworks. Comes in very nice wood frame with woodblock under mat and glass. Many woodblocks of Kitagawa were glued to surfaces and/or faded over time. One of three in series up for auction, the image is crisp. Image depicts two women by the sea. Black stamps and print writing seen on right side of image. Provenance: Obtained by prior owner from Centaur Sculpture Galleries in Las Vegas in 2010. Receipt shows price of $449 plus tax (See images). No. 40581A-C Certificate of Authenticity on verse from Centaur Sculpture Galleries.
