Description

War Beach is a 1957 oil on canvas painting by Frederik Ottesen (1913 -1975). Signed and dated by Ottesen on lower left 57'. Very vibrant erotic beach scene with detail and uniqueness. The trees are very interesting and leads one eye to the backdrop. Known for his abstract painting, Frederick was active in the New York area as well in France. Dimensions: 32 inches x 24 inches measured from verso of canvas and 33.5" x 24.5" in frame. 1% of hammer price for all items sold at Masters of Art Volume II Art Series Auction will be donated to the Humane Society.

Good condition, Several spots of craquelure and several pin sized chips under close view via naked eye and under UV light.
