Autumn in New England is an original oil on canvas by Jacob Greenleaf (1887 - 1968). This colorful autumn landscape is signed and dated on lower right by Greenleaf and has the original label with title, artist, and asking price on verso. Greenleaf did this piece in 1941 most likely in Massachusetts where Jacob was active during his career. Born in Reval, Estonia, Greenleaf was exhibited at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, the Rockport Association, and the National Academy of Design, amongst others. He was also a member of the American Artists Professional League. Painting is 30 inches X 25 inches and frame is approximately 34.5 inches X 29.5 inches. 1% of hammer price for all items sold at Masters of Art Volume II Art Series Auction will be donated to the Humane Society.
