This cotton 1880's/1890's red and white feathered stars quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a classic 12-block design. The quilt came out of central Indiana. It measures 82" X 84" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the perimeter of each piece and in a grid design in the background, all at an even 10-12 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the machine stitched binding is red, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
