ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE TRANSFER-PRINTED INDIA VIEW / AMERICAN MARKET CERAMIC SAUCE TUREEN AND COVER, of two-handled oval form, having dark blue transfer pattern "Ramnugur near Benares on the Ganges" featuring a tall-masted ship flying an American flag with structures atop high cliffs to the right and a long barge-like boat with numerous figures, having shell border decoration. Together with a period ladle having floral and foliate pattern. Two pieces total. Unmarked. Probably Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 6 3/8" HOA.
Mostly undamaged, having minute flake to flower finial with some crazing to interior.
