Chinese. Group of two wooden wedding baskets comprising a woven bamboo three-tier basket with iron handle and foliate carved sides decorated with characters, together with a three-tier basket having an iron handle, lid decorated with figures and body and base decorated with floral detail. Both apparently unmarked. Approx. of the tallest, h. 26.5", w. 18" (handle to handle). Note: Receipts from Nhei Hin Furniture Plant of Classical Art, Macau and Lung Ngai Furniture,Gaung Dao, China accompanies this lot.

Condition

The woven basket likely originally part of a larger basket; edgeware and splits to larger basket.
