Description
A nice Colima flat pair, a man and woman, West Mexico, c. 100 BC - AD 250, rare types of figurines. The woman depicted standing in a skirt with a beaded necklace and head piece topped by a bird, H: 5 in (12.7 cm). The man is sitting cross-legged with wrapped headdress, ear spools and nose jewelry, H: 4 in (10.2 cm). Both well-preserved with light deposits and come with custom metal stands. Ex Southern California private collection acquired in the late 1960's & 1980's.
