One of the more recent examples is the October 2014 issue of American Cowboy's Collector's Edition where Joe Grandee celebrates his famous Texas Ranger Leander McNelly painting once again! This is the painting that put Joe's work in the U.S. Capitol as the first Western Artist by invitation. In the fall of 2013, True West magazine acknowledged Joe as the "King of the Covers" in their 60th Anniversary edition.
