Descriptions: This is an interesting and unusual map showing the original 13 colonies of the United States. There are tables listing the dates of settlement for the colonies, the population in 1776 in the colonies (total at 2.8 million) and cities (most populus being New York with 23,194), and important Revolutionary War battles. At the top of the map is a depiction of the first money coined by the United States. The Indian tribes are prominently shown as is the "ancient" French boundary.
