Antique pair of figural bronze sculpture bookends representing children, one reading and one writing while seated on tasselled cushions, signed Lemire (Charles Gabriel Lemire, French, 1741-1827) and bearing foundry stamp seal JOLLET et Cie et COLIN in PARIS, seated on marble pedestal; apparent inspiration to Pierre Le Faguays (French, 1892-1962) "Man Writing, Lady Reading", circa 1910.
