Description
A pair of ancient vessels - Roman and Daunian. The first is a Daunian kyathos, 5th - 4th Century BC, with wide bowl and loop handle topped by prongs, the surfaces decorated with geometric devices. 4 x 6 ¾ in (10.2 x 17.1 cm). The second piece is a Roman orange-ware bottle, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, the body of inverted piriform shape with ring foot, narrow tubular neck with widely flared mouth and single handle with central groove. H: 8 in (20.4 cm). Light deposits. Ex Orange County private collection.
