Sandford Fleming was a 19th-century Canadian engineer who took an excursion through Canada to survey a railway route through the Rocky Mountains - through Yellowhead Pass. Shortly after the expedition, George Grant published an account of Fleming’s journey which was one of the best reports on Canadian railroad and Canadian Indian tribes.
It also includes extensive accounts of local flora, animals, mountains, prairies, and lakes many of which are illustrated. Beautiful engravings throughout.
