Hardcover. 311p.?The author was a bishop and the third Superior General of the Maryknoll mission society, and describes the early history of Maryknoll. A hardcover book in very good to excellent condition. Edges very lightly rubbed with some corner and spine edge wear (very minor). Otherwise clean and ver tight. No dust jacket. ? Autographed with sentiment on inside by Bishop Raymond Lane to Mr. and Mrs. Nassar. Mr. Nassar was co-owner - with his brother - of General Services Studios, a fully functioning movie and television studio. In the 1940’s, the General Services Studios became the first studio to fully embrace television productions and was the first home of Desilu, as well as many other early production companies in the early days of TV, including Burns & Allen, Our Miss Brooks, The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, I Married Joan and Sky King, among others.
