This original movie poster is from the 1955 Daddy Long Legs starring Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron. Astaire was active in the entertainment industry from the time he was just a young boy. His family struggled and both parents seemed bent on getting their children into show business. He and sister Adele started doing a brother/sister act. At 14, he by chance, met George Gershwin, a struggling artist in his own right. That meeting would change both men's life forever. This poster was signed by Mr Astaire in 1977. It appears to have had some water damage along the bottom and right edge, but the artwork is still in tact and the signature is clear. There is a crack across the glass in the glass of the frame.
