Description
Alton Kelley"
The Grateful Dead, The Blues Brothers along with the New Riders of the Purple Sage appeared in this New Year's Eve show in 1978. This was the last show held at Winterland and marked the end of an era. Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley created this famous image, which is known as the Blue Rose and is listed in The Art of Rock as plate number 4.38. Offered here is a rare progressive proof sheet used during the printing process. This proof sheet has only the magenta and yellow ink runs, lending it a very different appearance.
