Phil Hanna in Zamorano 80 states: "A Curious account of Miller's life and experiences with the Indians of Northern California, largely devoted to his quixotic attempt to form an Indian republic among the Pit River Indians, the Klamaths, Shastas, and Modocs, and of his participation in the so-called Pit River Massacre." Most resembles BAL's State C, lower half of p.[446] devoted to advertising Everybody's Friend. BAL 13757; M608; Zamorano 80, 55.
Condition
Light rubbing and fraying to cloth on ends of spine and corners of board, 2" split to top of rear joint; rear hinge cracked, blank leaves foxed with intermittent faint foxing throughout; very good.
