Marilyn Monroe's Personally Owned Checkered Pants Acquired From Inez Melson W/Letter of Provenance - These checkered slacks were personally owned by Marilyn Monroe. These slacks are similar in style to pants worn by Marilyn in photoshoots with legendary photographers Andre de Dienes and Alfred Eisenstaedt (please see reference photos). The pants were given to Marilyn's friend and business manager Inez Melson, who was an integral part of Marilyn's life and received many personal belongings from the star when she felt like she no longer needed them. The pants will be accompanied by a letter of provenance from a gentleman who states that he acquired these pants, along with 21 other items, directly from Melson in 1962. Please note: the pants have faded slightly due to age.
