Description
Michael Jackson 1992 Dangerous World Tour Custom Space Suit W/Provenance - This custom-made jumpsuit was made for "The King of Pop", Michael Jackson, for performances during his 1992 Dangerous World Tour. The Dangerous era is widely considered as one of Mr. Jackson's best, and the tour was a massive production incorporating many stunts and stage illusions. This thick white jumpsuit has a red stripe down both arms from the wrist to the shoulders as well as one down the right leg, and has a zip-up front and Velcro closure at the neck. Michael Jackson wore this particular style of space suit after performing the final song on the setlist, "Man in the Mirror". The suit was brought to the stage by stagehands who helped Michael dress in the suit, before cleverly switching with a similarly dressed stunt double wearing a jet pack, who then jetted (as Michael Jackson) over the crowd while fans could hear "Michael Jackson has left the stadium." The suit bears an interior designer label along with a handwritten notation which reads "2/3". This space suit was previously sold at auction and will be accompanied by the auction lot card. PLEASE NOTE-PRE-AUCTION SALES: GWS reserves the right to sell any Lot(s) through a negotiated transaction at any time prior to the to conclusion of the auction.
